It is very rare to see other people’s stories on Automobile Find. However, this story is something special and I had to write it. When you find a low mileage Impala for sale you probably think that it is a Lambrecht vehicle. Well, this Impala is a Lambrecht vehicle. After the Lambrecht showroom closed in 1996, this car still sat at the showroom. In 2013, the Lambrechts decided to auction off some cars, this Impala was one of them. This Impala was found and bought back in 2013 for $97,000. This Impala is the lowest mileage 3rd-gen Impala and the last 3rd-gen Impala ever sold from a showroom.
You probably know now why this car sold for $97,000. The new owners are brothers that come from Ohio. When the new owners bought the car, they quickly put the car into a trailer to Ohio. They cleaned up the car and started going to auto shows. When they went to the Detroit Autorama Show, the car ended up being the most popular car on the show. It was a brand new 1963 Impala, what do you expect? The brothers said that the car belongs to a museum and they will probably give the car to a museum after having some fun with it. The brothers cleaned up the car very well and many people said that the Impala looks like it just came out of a time machine. The original window sticker is present and it shows that the car was selling for $3,254.70 back in 1963. As you can see in the featured photo, the red Impala is in the middle of Lambrechts’s collection. You can probably see that there are a lot of other beauties which will probably end up as this car.
This story truly is a very special story. From the mileage to the history, this Impala has it all. I am a little bit sad to see this car ending up in a museum. If I had the money I would drive the heck out of this car. I don’t think that there is a person on this earth who will hate driving and owning a brand new 1963 Impala.
