1 OF 27: ALL ORIGINAL 1989 CHEVROLET CAMARO IROC-Z 1LE SURVIVOR FOUND IN A GARAGE, HAS ONLY 19K MILES!

This 1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z is in immaculate condition. The car has only 19,000 miles and it is an all-original survivor car. The car was found in a garage and the originality and mileage aren’t the only special thing that this car has.

Except for the mileage and the originality, this car also contains the famous 1LE package. The 1LE package is so rare that Chevy doesn’t have the production numbers listed on their site. After searching the internet for many hours, I found out that Chevy made only 27 IROC-Z 1LE Camaros in 1989. I don’t know if this is true so you can correct me in the comments if I am wrong about the numbers. The 1LE Camaro had 230 horsepower and it came with a lot of upgraded parts such as bigger front brake rotors with improved calipers, baffles in the fuel tank to preclude cavitation, a five-speed manual close-ratio transmission, modified suspension bushings, and an aluminum driveshaft. The 1LE was basically a factory race car and it didn’t have A/C, fog lights, power windows, and cruise control. I don’t know why the owner didn’t send us any pictures of the engine. Much of the rarity that this car has is focused on the engine. The interior of this car is in amazing and original condition. The Charcoal Gray with a Bright Red was a very common color combination back in the 1980s.

Overall, this 1LE Camaro is a very desirable and original car that still remains untouched and unmodified after 32 years. It’s very rare to find an all-original 3rd gen Camaro these days, especially an all original low mileage 1LE Camaro. All of these facts make this car very rare, desirable, and special.
