1970 DODGE CHALLENGER R/T 440 FOUND IN YARD!

Sometimes we find cars that are begging to be rescued. That is the case with this amazing 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440. This beast was found in a yard in Louisiana and it is begging for restoration.

As you can see in the second picture the owner did clean the garbage that was on the car so that he can prove that the find isn’t staged. It’s nice to see an old car with all the plastic and the trim still in place. You can see that this car has some rust in the quarter panels, the person who restores will probably need to get that fixed. Most of the trim tag is covered in dirt, but you can see the “U” code which suggests that this car is a 440 V8 with a four-barrel carburetor. However, the owner says that this car is a “V” code 440 three-barrel carburetor, which means “Six Pack”. So, can our Mopar fans clear this up?

The interior of this Challenger is as bad as the rest of the car, it will probably need a complete restoration. I am sure that a true Mopar fan will restore this rare beast and enjoy it for many years.
So, is this car a four-barrel or a Six Pack?
