1964 CHEVROLET IMPALA 409 4-SPEED FOUND IN A BARN!

When it was perfect and new, this 1964 Chevrolet Impala was an amazing car. Those days are far away and this car now remains as a shadow of its former self. This rusted beauty was found in a barn in New Jersey and it is a numbers matching Impala 409 4-Speed.

It’s very hard to know where to start when you look at this Impala. Your eye can’t spot a place where this beauty doesn’t have any rust. The previous owner says that the frame will need a replacement and most of the parts on this car are rusted out. The floors are still in place but, they are very rusty and will probably need a restoration or replacement. The frame rails are rusted out and they will need a replacement. It is very sad to hear this but I think that the ultimate fate of this car is a parts car. This car used to have a black exterior with a yellow interior. It was a very amazing car back in the day. Now, most of the interior is gone. Let’s get to the good news. The owner says that this car isn’t an SS car, however, it came out of the factory with the 340 horsepower 409 V8 engine hooked up to a 4-speed manual transmission. The original engine is out of the car and it is stored in a workshop. The owner tried to track down the engine, but he didn’t have any luck.

The owner of this car is very realistic about his vehicle. He says that this could be either a parts car or a project car. If it is a project car, it would be a very big project. It will be a good parts car because all of the parts are in place, however, some of them aren’t restorable.
Which way would you go with this Impala?
