This car is a very unusual car. This car was found in a collection and it is the main topic on many of the car forums. This is a 1929 Cadillac Victoria Convertible Coupe. This Caddy is a real 1 of 1 car. This car was something like a prototype back in 1929. It was recently put into an auction with a starting bid of $100,000.
Cadillac bodies in the 1920s were mainly built by Fisher and Fleetwood. This is a Fleetwood body. This Caddy has a 341 V8 engine which made around 90 horsepower back in 1929. The engine on this car is original and this car has only 79,000 miles. Hooked up to that engine is a 3-speed manual gearbox. As I mentioned this Caddy is a survivor. As you probably know survivor cars are highly original. Well, this Caddy is highly original. The only thing non-original on this car is the interior. The interior was redone with cheap materials. The owner says that the upholstery shop didn’t put the correct fabrics in the interior. I must say that I agree with him because these seats look way too cheap to be in a Cadillac. If you want to know more about the car or debate about the car, you should check out the Cadillac forums. As I mentioned, this car was the main topic on this forums since October.
This really is an unusual find. Just imagine having a prototype car from the 1920s, that would be AWESOME! While I can’t afford a car like this one, I am sure that a Cadillac collector will see the potential and take this car to his garage. It’s an amazing car with an amazing story.
