Although it’s defined as being a barn find, this 1977 Chevrolet C10 Scottsdale must have been laid up in one of the tidiest lean-tos ever seen. Sporting excellent two-tone paint, it gives the preferred short box bed along with 4 wheel force and underneath 30,000 original miles. The owner has swapped on some aftermarket wheels that I don’t surely hate, but rest assured, the authentic wheels are included.
The owner does screen a few floor rust popping up in the back of the right rear wheel, but it hasn’t gone past that point yet – so it ought to be a straightforward fix. The lettering at the tailgate still looks fresh, and aside from the bumper probably being tweaked, all looks right outside. The interior presents like the low mileage example it is, even though the blanket over the bench seat has typically hidden disappointments in other trucks we’ve featured. I’d be stunned if the upholstery is already cooked on any such low mileage truck, but stranger things have happened. Everything else in this interior is perfect, the air conditioning works as it should, and also the delay wipers work as well.
Under the hood, we can see Chevy’s famous 350 V8 engine. The owner says that the truck drives like it’s brand new and that the engine runs very smooth. Overall, the truck looks very good and original and the owner provides the correct information to make this truck a real antique as it is.
