Over the years we have seen some Blazer Chalet finds, and every time that we post them they get a lot of interest. I have been waiting a lot of time to see one in pristine condition with low mileage, and I finally got it. This super original Chalet was found in a garage in Minneapolis.
When you look at the other Chalets that come up, they are in bad condition. The paint is faded on some, the camper shell is filthy or they are rusty. That is not the case with this truck though. This amazing Chalet is an all-original survivor, that has been a garage king for quite some time. The graphics on this truck look perfect and the camper is still shiny and tidy. The pop-up tent is still working and the owner mentioned that this truck had a repaint in its original color some time ago. As you can see the perfect interior proves the mileage of this truck which is 25,000. The owner mentioned that this truck was repainted because the paint was sun-faded in some places. With this mileage and the condition of this truck, I am sure that a lot more adventuring is yet to come. The owner also has the famous “BLAZER CHALET” stickers but they aren’t put on the truck yet.
All the camper stuff inside this truck still works. And the owner mentioned that this truck still has the original 400 V8 hooked up to an automatic transmission. The engine runs and drives very smoothly and I am sure that this truck is just beginning its life of adventuring.
Is chalet for sale? Contact info if so. .
Not sure where you got your information from on this one regarding its condition. First, it is Chalet #1158, as designated by the last 4 digits on the little rectangular serial number plate by the back door. However, it is NOT all original and if it was found anywhere, it was in a Nebraska tractor storage area in a proxybid.com auction in Sept 2014, in far worse condition than you see it here. It was repainted in January or February 2019 in DeGraff MN, and has long had incorrectly non-factory original reupholstery work. It was listed once on ebay in July 2018 in worse shape and again in April 2020 in its current refurbished shape. I have those paper printouts along with its earlier Craigslist / BigIron / proxybid ad listings.
I’m the former owner of Chalet #1747, I’m also the current caretaker of the very old blazerchalet.com website, and I actively try to track every one of these still in existence.
