Most of the retired brush trucks aren’t in good condition. That isn’t the case with this truck. This is an all-original numbers matching 1974 Chevrolet C/K 454 Brush Truck. This Brush Truck was found in a garage with only 33,000 miles on the clock. All of the extra parts on this truck are present and original. Those parts are a full assortment of fire-fighting equipment, a generous lift kit, trick fire suppression gear, and a low-mileage 454 V8 engine.
Most of the fire trucks have low mileage, but they aren’t clean as this one. This truck still has the fire fighting equipment and everything on this truck works. As I mentioned this truck has only 33,000 miles. Under the hood, the truck has a 454 V8 engine which is hooked up to a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine runs and drives perfectly. The current owner even took the truck out for a 180-mile ride and he says that the truck didn’t have any problems during the ride. I must say that firefighters knew how to equip their trucks. This truck has a massive amount of equipment and no dollar was spared during the build.
Overall, this is the perfect Square Body truck. It has a 454 in it, an interesting history, a lot of equipment, and low miles. It has a lot going for it and it truly is a one-of-a-kind Square Body.
