Considering that this car has genuine 34,000 miles, I can be certain that the car is in decent mechanical condition. The car is a numbers matching all original 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396. It was found in a barn and it came with an A/C from the factory which makes this Chevelle very rare.
As I mentioned the car is an all-original survivor car. The car has some minor rust issues. Rust is present in the front fenders which isn’t a big issue. With the original tires and wheel covers, the car doesn’t look like a 300hp muscle car. However, anyone who knows the 396 V8 engine knows that this car is a very powerful machine. Except for some leaks, the car’s underside is in nice and original condition. Moving on to the interior, we can see bucket seats and a cracked dash. Except for that dash, everything in the interior is original and perfect. Under the hood lies the big block 396 V8 engine. This is the base model 396 engine which produced around 325 horsepower back in 1968. The engine runs and drives very well.
