As you probably know, the 1964 Pontiac GTO was the first muscle car. It was a cool combination of a mid-sized body and a full-size engine. This particular 1964 GTO sure has a lot going for it. This 1964 GTO is an original Tri-Power car that has 1000 miles, manual transmission, and the original 389 V8 engine. This car was found in a garage in Las Vegas after being stored there since 1965. The car is up for sale for $100,000!
The Tri-Power setup is very unique. It features a trio of two-barrel carburetors, uses the center carb for normal driving, and engages the two outer units only when your right foot decides to pick a fight. That setup made the engine a very powerful machine that produced around 360 horsepower back in 1964. Most of the cars deteriorate and rust away while being in storage. That isn’t the case with this one though. This GTO looks like it just came out of the GM factory. This car has only 2 non-original parts, the belts, and the tires. Sadly, the owner didn’t send us any pictures of the interior. I assume that it looks perfect and original.
Being a six-figure car, the next owner will probably do a closer inspection before buying this amazing GTO. With 1000 miles and a Tri-Power engine under the hood, I am sure that the next owner is close by.
