ALL ORIGINAL: 1974 CHEVROLET C10 FLEETSIDE SURVIVOR FOUND IN A BARN, HAS ONLY 1000 MILES!

This C10 Fleetside was sold new back in October 1973. In its 47 year old life it didn’t see a lot of work. It only accumulated 1000 miles. This truck was found in a barn after being stored there for 12 years.

The photos that the owner provided aren’t good. However, I can still see that the truck is very solid. The floors and the frame are in good condition. The owner said that the bed will need to be refurbished because it had some paint issues. The hood has a small dent which will be an easy fix. The rear step also has some minor damage which will be a very easy fix. The pictures of the interior are also bad. However, the interior appears to be in perfect condition. The seats look brand new and the dash doesn’t have any signs of cracks or damage. If you expected a V8 under the hood, I am sad to say that you will be disappointed. This truck has a 250 straight-six under the hood which needs a good clean-up. After 12 years of storage, the engine started right up. The owner says that the engine runs and drives as it should. That isn’t a surprise given the mileage of the truck. The only non-original part of this truck is the tires.

You probably won’t find a truck like this one ever. The fact that someone found a 1k mile Square Body makes this find very special and rare. Most of the Square Bodys were work truck which accumulated a lot of miles over the years. Well, this one didn’t.
So, if this C10 was yours will you drive it or continue storing it?
