1 OF 140: 1973 PONTIAC TRANS AM 455 4-SPEED BREWSTER GREEN FOUND IN A YARD!

I love writing about old cars. The reason for that is the rarity of the cars. Like every American, I have a special feeling about the 2nd generation Trans Am. Well, this time I managed to find a very rare 2nd generation Trans Am. This beauty was found in a yard and decoding the VIN I found out that this is a real Brewster Green Trans Am.

When I talked to the owner of this car, I saw the 48 code which means that this Trans Am left the factory in a Brewster Green color. This color is very significant because it was a one-year-only color for the Trans Am. That year was 1973 and they made around 140 of them. The other colors were Buccaneer Red and Cameo White which were more common. The other rare thing about this car is that this car is a 4-Speed manual transmission car. In 1973, only 1,400 Trans Ams had the 4-Speed manual transmission, the other ones had the Turbo 400 automatic transmission. I also found out that this car left the factory with a Y Code 450 V8 engine which made around 250 horsepower in 1973. The car is in very bad condition. It has some rust issues and it will need a complete restoration. However, the fact that this is a very special Trans Am with a lot of rare features makes it possible to restore it.

So, the car was bought and was driven to the current owner’s garage. The current owner will restore this car and bring it back to its original condition. The car was mostly drag raced back in the day and it had a turbocharged 400 Pontiac engine under the hood. This is truly a special car with a special story. I wish the new owner luck and I hope to see the car restored.
