1969 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 428 COBRA JET SURVIVOR FOUND IN A BARN, HAS ONLY 45K MILES!

Who doesn’t dream of owning a classic pony/muscle car! The once beautiful caramel apple Red paint is currently light and scorched when being left outside to the weather since the owners passing. One previous exposure captures what was once his gleaming pride and joy and another showing numerous automobile show plaques once this beast prowled the roads of Virginia wherever it absolutely was originally sold.

The interior of this pony looks very well kept and original. The dash is cracked a little and it will need some work to bring it back to its original condition. With those numbers, it was easy to hit high 13’s and that is why most of the owners equipped traction bars. The “R” in the VIN code tells us that this is a ram air inducted engine and this engine also shares the same numbers with the “Q” code Ford engine. With 45k miles on the clock, the engine looks exactly like it should and the owner mentions that it’s a strong runner.

Ford’s Sport Roof designation means that sleek styling in profile and add in this beasty, blacked-out “shaker hood”( a year before the Mopar shakers) with slats/fender intakes and it’s like one thing that ought to be testing out at Edwards AFB, particularly with its high desert, stripped rust coat. While the Magnum 500 wheels look very correct and nice I believe that they aren’t original because they weren’t offered in 1969 as an option. Overall this is a very rare and original low mileage car.
