1970 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS396 FOUND IN A GARAGE!

It is very stressful when you open a barn or a garage that is said to have a car in it. Sometimes you see junk but sometimes you can find a true diamond in the rough. In this case, the current owner found a diamond in the rough. The diamond in the rough is a 1970 Chevelle SS396 that was found in a garage in Ohio.

Under all that dust, this car has a lot of rust and other issues. With the magical SS396 numbers I think that even the rust doesn’t stop the owner from restoring it. As you can see when they cleaned it up, the rust issues came to light. This car won’t be an easy fix, but patch panels are easily found and with some time and money the issue would be fixed. I think that you should expect this from a car that was stored in a garage. This car has another big issue and that issue is the engine. As you can see the engine is not in the car and it is in very bad condition. The owner says that this is the original L34 engine which is hooked up to an automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear end with 3.31 gears. The original transmission is in the car but the condition of it is unknown.

This is a big project with a lot of issues. But, just imagine an SS396 Chevelle finished in Autumn Gold with Black Stripes (the original color of the car). The end project will be a 350 horsepower Chevelle that will do a lot of burnouts.
So, would you restore this Chevelle if you had the chance?
