1970 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS396 F-41 FOUND IN A BARN!

This shell was a 1970 Chevelle SS396 equipped with the F-41 suspension option back in the day. This car was well optioned with features such as power disc brakes, power steering, air conditioning, and a 12-bolt rear with rear sway bar and boxed rear control arms (the F-41 suspension option). None of that is here now.

I drove a 1970 Chevelle SS396 once. It was owned by Hemmings Motor News. I enjoyed it very well and it brought a big smile to my face. That Chevelle left rubber on the road. However, this Chevelle is far from that. It has a lot of things missing such as the original engine and it is very far from a perfect car. Restoration has been started, but it hasn’t been finished. The rear quarters have been replaced and the car doesn’t appear to have any accident damage. The bumpers are straight and it looks good underneath. The interior is there but it is almost toasted.

This is a good project because it doesn’t have any rust issues. This car was well optioned and it could be well optioned now with a lot of money. What you get here is more of a shell of a 1970 Chevelle SS396. There are some ways to start and I think this is one of them. I am sure that a Chevelle fan would see potential in this shell and start restoring it.
