In 1973, only 2500 Chevelles left the factory with the mighty 454 V8 engine under their hood. Of those 2500 around 500 were Wagons. Yes, Chevy really made an SS454 Wagon and it was a one-year-only car. This Wagon is one of those 500 made and it is an amazing car with a lot of trophies. This beauty was found in a garage in Iowa and it is a highly original survivor car.
Chevy had a completely new design for the 1973 Chevelle. The new design looked newer but not better. I don’t like the back on the 1973 Chevelle. While it wasn’t a beautiful car, the 1973 Chevelle still had some power. The 454 V8 engine made around 245 horsepower which was a lot back in 1973. The owner didn’t send us any pictures of the interior or the engine. He said that everything works and that the car runs and drives nicely. I believe him but I would still like some pictures. The wheels are original and they have the original hubcaps that came with the car back in 1973.
One-year-only cars tend to be very collectible. There is no doubt that this Chevelle is a very collectible car. They made only 500 of them. Out of the 500 made, how many are as good as this one is? That makes this car very special, collectible, and rare.
