This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 was sitting in a shed for the last 30 years. While the body isn’t complete, the owner says that this Chevelle doesn’t have any major rust issues. As I mentioned, this Chevelle was found in a shed in Texas.
The isolation life hasn’t been good to this rare Chevelle. While this beast was stored in the shed, someone hit it and wrecked the front left side. The Cranberry Red paint is faded and the body is far from straight. Most of the chrome is either missing or in bad condition. The body also has a lot of Bondo and rust repair. Aside from the terrible exterior, the interior of this Chevelle isn’t all bad. Most of the parts are present and in good condition. The upholstery looks good and this Chevelle has A/C and a remote driver’s mirror. Most of the parts in the interior need a good clean-up. As I mentioned this Chevelle is a numbers matching SS396 car. The original 396 engine is long gone, however, the car has 1967 396 which makes around 325 horsepower. This engine is backed up by an automatic transmission. The owner says that the engine is in good condition, however, it doesn’t run.
Most of the storage kept cars are in good condition, this Chevelle isn’t one of them. The body of this car is terrible in every corner. The engine doesn’t run and those minor rust issues are slowly turning into major. The good thing is that the interior is in good condition and the fact that this is a real Chevelle SS396.
