This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 4-Speed was found in a yard in New Jersey. Looking at this Camaro, I can surely tell that the weather was very harsh to this car. It has a lot of rust, it doesn’t have the original engine, the title is lost, with all those issues it will take a Christmas Miracle to get this beast back to its former glory.
This car was originally white with black stripes, someone painted blue stripes over those black stripes. The Crager S/S wheels bring me back to the ’80s. In the place of the original engine, this car has a period correct 1970 350 V8 engine. This engine was rated around 360 horsepower and that is enough to get this car going fast. Some work has been done to this engine in the early ’90s and the owner says that the engine works as it should.
This beast has a Hurst shifter which makes this car a lot more fun. I don’t know a man who wants a Z/28 Camaro with an automatic. However, this car has a lot of problems. If someone doesn’t find a gold bar in the glove box then the restoration of this car isn’t worth it.
Is this Camaro really too far gone?
