1969 PONTIAC GTO JUDGE RAM AIR IV FOUND IN A GARAGE!

When Pontiac built the Judge they didn’t know that they made one of the most legendary muscle cars ever. Production of the GTO Judge lasted only three model years due to small sales. This particular Judge is a numbers matching Ram Air IV that was restored back in 1992. After the restoration, the previous owner stored the car and the car wasn’t moved until now.

When you ordered a GTO Judge back in 1969, what you get was a Ram Air hood and front bumper and a spoiler on the trunk. The Judge had only 1 engine, which was Pontiac’s 400 V8 engine. It was offered as a Ram Air III and a Ram Air IV. The Ram Air III had around 360 horsepower and the Ram Air IV had around 370 horsepower. Most car enthusiasts say that those numbers were conservative and that the actual horsepower was way higher. The Judge option cost around $337 which was cheap even for 1969. The only color in 1969 was Carousel Red. Pontiac built around 6,700 Judges in 1969 and most of them were Ram Air III. This car is a Ram Air IV which means that this is even rare and more desirable. For an older restoration, this car survived nicely. Due to storage, the car has only 64,000 miles on the odometer. However, we did notice 2 issues with the car. Those issues are the discolored decals and some surface rust on the master cylinder.

Restored Judges are going for six figures these days. Especially the Ram Air IVs. Though restored, this car is far from perfect. It will need some work to make it perfect again. I am sure that a true Judge fan knows how special this car is and he will surely take care of it.
