Judging by the pictures, this 1969 Oldsmobile 442 had some work done to it in the past couple of years. This beast has been found in a barn in Florida and it is apparently an original 442 Oldsmobile.
This car was originally painted in Nassau Blue color, but someone painted it to Matador Red a long time ago. The owner says that the car is in good condition and that it doesn’t have any rust issues. However, I can’t tell a lot from the pictures, and to believe him I will advise you to get a closer inspection. The interior is complete but it will probably need a full restoration. Just look at that white interior, I am sure that it looked very good with the Nassau Blue paint back in the day. The owner didn’t send any pictures of the engine which is surprising. He said that this beast has the original 400 V8 engine which is hooked up to a 4-speed manual transmission. This car also comes with a spare engine and the original window sticker and order sheet.
With the 442 being such a rare car, the value has been rising in the last couple of years. If this is really a rust free car with an original engine then it will be worth restoring.
So, is this desirable beast worth restoring?
