This Mustang is a numbers matching Mach 1 428 Cobra Jet. Someone began restoring this beast, but he didn’t finish. All of the rust issues have been fixed and the owner says that it still has the original 428 Cobra Jet engine. This beast was found in a barn.
As you can see from the pictures, this car has been stripped and it will need a complete nut and bolt restoration. The owner says that he has a lot of parts for this car and that they are restored. As you can see the original 428 Cobra Jet engine is not in the car. The owner didn’t mention if it runs, with all that rust I am sure that it doesn’t. The engine produced around 335 horsepower and 440 foot-pounds of torque. I am sure that the owner will take a trip to the mechanic’s shop because this is the original engine.
This is a huge project and you will need to empty your bank account to restore this car. The end project will be a killer Mustang, but how much would it take to make it the killer Mustang?
