I don’t look at the high collector cars very often. I look more in the pedestrian area and affordable cars. However, this high collector muscle car has caught my eye. This is a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429. This car caught my eye because it has only 13,000 miles. It is very rare to see a Boss 429, especially one with 13,000 miles. This car was found in a garage after being stored there for 40 years.
This Boss was owned by the original owner until 1981. In 12 years, the original owner only drove it for 13,000 miles. When 1981 came, the second owner bought the car and put it in his garage. The car wasn’t moved until now. The car isn’t perfect but it still is in very good condition. The paint has some small issues which will be a quick fix. The body is very straight without any signs of damage. This Mustang even has the original Goodyear tires. As you may assume, the Mustang has the famous Magnum 500 wheels, which appear to be in very good condition. The interior of the car certainly proves the mileage. The interior just needs a good clean-up. Everything is present and in good condition. What makes the Boss 429 a special car is an engine under the hood. That engine is a 429 V8 engine which was designed for NASCAR and it made around 390 horsepower. I am sure that a lot of you know that the engine was underrated and that it made a lot more power than 390. With mileage as low as 13,000, I am sure that the engine will run very well.
While I am not a big Ford fan, I will say that the Boss 429 was and will be a legendary car. They made only 857 of them and this particular one is the 320th car produced in 1969. I have seen cars like this one selling for more than $200,000. With this low mileage and the condition, I am sure that this particular Boss is worth a lot more than $200,000.
