1969 CHEVROLET NOVA SS396 FOUND IN A BARN, STORED SINCE 1985!

When you are hunting for a barn find, you will never know what could turn up. A lot of different cars end up being hidden in barns and a lot of special cars are hidden. This is one of those.

This 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS396 L78 has been found in a barn after being stored there for 35 years. This beast had “Hugger Orange” paint and most of the paint is present and original. The owner says that this car doesn’t have any rust issues and except for a bumper bent everything on this beast is in nice condition. The interior is very basic, it’s a simple black vinyl interior with bucket seats and a rubber floor mat. The interior doesn’t have any gauges and the previous owner of this car did care about speed and not luxury. Everything in the interior is in good and original condition.

As I mentioned the engine is an L78 375 horsepower V8 engine, and I strangely found that 5,262 Novas were built with this engine in 1969 and only 1,947 were built with the 350 horsepower version of this engine. The owner didn’t mention if the engine runs, but he said that almost every part is original and unmolested, which is good to hear. While this car is not that rare, it is still an amazing and uncommon barn find. The person who restores this beast must have a big wallet, in the end, this will turn into a fantastic and powerful car.
