This 1969 Nova SS 396 has a lot of potential to be a winter project car. This beast was found in a barn in Oregon, and the VIN numbers decode it as a true Nova SS and it features a clean title.
Mechanically this Nova has a 396 cubic inch V8 and the owner has two transmissions, one automatic and, one manual. None of those are installed in the car right now, the engine is in pieces and the car has a 12-bolt rear end and 4.10 gears. Sadly, the body of the car will need a lot of work. The previous owner tried to fix a quarter panel in the ’70s and it went very wrong. That will need a lot of work so as the rest of the car. The interior is complete and it features bucket seats. However, the interior will require a complete restoration. The car has been painted numerous times.
The restoration of this beast will cost a lot of money. The engine and the transmission need to be installed, full restoration on the interior, a lot of bodywork, and some other stuff that needs to be done. You can do a resto-mod project if you want to minimize the cost.
If this was your car, would you resto-mod it or restore it?
