1969 CHEVROLET CAMARO 427 PACE CAR FOUND IN A BARN!

Here we have a very special car, or do we? Well, the owner of this 1969 Camaro Pace Car says that this car came out of the factory with a 427 V8 engine under the hood. I don’t know if this is true but I am sure that some of our viewers will clear it up. This Pace Car was found in a garage where it was hidden under a tarp.

I am sure that it is very exciting to lift a tarp and see one of the most desirable Pace Cars ever. I just can’t imagine this beast not being driven. If you have a big block Camaro Pace Car which you don’t drive, you are insane. The owner of this car wanted to restore it, but sadly he didn’t go through the process. Now comes the hard part. The owner says that this car has a 427 V8 which is numbers matching to the car. However, I did some investigating and it turns out that Camaro Pace Cars came with a 350 or a 396 engine. Chevrolet did have the COPO which had the 427 V8. So, I contacted some car people and they told me that this can be a COPO car which was later turned into a Pace Car.

If this car really is a 427 Camaro, this will be one of the greatest finds ever. The fact that this is a Pace Car makes it unclear. I am sure that one of our readers who knows a lot about Camaros will clear this up for us!
