1965 PONTIAC GTO TRI-POWER 4-SPEED FOUND IN A BARN!

Do you know what PHS is? Well, if you don’t I will explain it to you. PHS means Pontiac Historical Society, if you have PHS documentation about your Pontiac then your car is a real deal. This 1965 GTO has PHS documentation and it proves that this is a 4-Speed Tri-Power GTO that came with the Tiger Gold paint when it was new. This GTO was found in a barn in California, and it will require a complete restoration.

The photos aren’t clear enough, but you can still see the amazing Tri-Power engine. It has three 2bbl carburetors and as you can see it saw better days. This engine was rated from the factory to make around 360 horsepower and that was a lot in the ’60s. There is not much information about the engine, except that is not original but it is a date correct engine. The interior is all gold All the parts from the dash to the rear seats are gold. The interior isn’t in bad condition and all it needs is a good cleaning. You can see the VIN tag on the picture. GM’s VIN tags are very hard to decode, they aren’t like Mopar’s VIN tags.

I am sure that our readers will decode it and see that this is a real Tri-Power 4-Speed car. The problem is that the original engine is missing. If this beast is restored it will look stunning. But, with the original engine gone I don’t know if this beast is worthy of a restoration.
