Most of you probably knew the Shelby GT350s which were special built for Hertz. However, most of you didn’t know that Hertz also had Fox Body Mustang Hertz cars. While it wasn’t built by Shelby, it still was a very special car that looked very cool. The car was a 1984 Ford Mustang Predator GT302H. It was built by Solomon American and they made around 300 Predator Mustangs. Only 8 of them were sold to Hertz and this particular Mustang is 1 of those 8. This car was found in a garage.
I have to admit that I didn’t know about Solomon or Predator until I saw this car. Solomon American was found by a man named Tom Solomon. This man was a part of the team that built the Shelby Mustang and Cobra. Solomon American took a bone stock GT Mustang and tricked it out with a lot of parts. These parts were a roll cage, improved suspension, hood scoop, etc. The bad thing about these cars was the engine. Solomon American didn’t do any modifications to the engine and the GT302H Mustang produced only 223 horsepower. However, this particular car has some upgrades done to it and the engine is much more powerful.
It’s very surprising that people don’t know anything about the Predator Mustang. This is probably one of the coolest Fox Bodies ever made. With ties to Tom Solomon, limited production, and upgrades, this is truly a dream Fox Body.
