1 OF 7: 1969 CHEVROLET CAMARO YENKO 427 FOUND IN A BARN, WAS STORED SINCE 1979!

These days, Yenko Camaros easily reach six-figure prices. Well, back in the day you could find one for reasonable money. Take this one. This Camaro was bought by a man named Jeff back in 1974. He bought it for $3,900 and drove it for 5 years. He street raced it around Indiana until 1979. In 1979 he parked the car in a barn and never moved it until now.

Yenko made 201 Camaros in 1969. Out of those 201, 30 were with an automatic transmission. Only 7 of them were in Fathom Green. This is a 1 of 7 Fathom Green Yenko Camaro with an automatic transmission. He bought this beast while he was a senior in high school. He drove a 450 horsepower muscle car with a 427 V8 engine under the hood. After parking it, Jeff’s plans were to restore it. However, life got in the way and he never got to do it. In 2017 Jeff passed away and the car was sold to a family friend.

The current owner is restoring the car and I hope to see the finished project. This surely is a special car with a very special story. It surely deserves a full restoration and a good life.
