I know that most of the car guys grew up watching Fast and Furious movies. While I prefer classic American cars, I must say that I have a huge appreciation for the ’90s sports cars. They had slick designs and the tuner culture took the prices of these cars to the moon. Well, you don’t need to be a car guy to know that the Toyota Supra Twin Turbo is a legendary sports car. This particular Supra Twin Turbo is a 1994 model and it was found in a garage. This Supra is an all-original survivor car that is selling for $100,000.
If you watched Fast and Furious, you probably know the orange Supra that Paul Walker drove. That Supra was a Targa Top model. Toyota made only 500 of those Targa Top models and this particular Supra is one of those 500 made. However, that fact doesn’t make the Supra special. The thing that makes the Supra a special car is the 2JZ engine under the hood. This engine was backed up by a 6-speed manual transmission which made the winning combination. With a few little tweaks and tunes, this engine can reach up to 2,000 horsepower. That is why the Supra Twin Turbo was a legendary car with legendary performance.
Most of the people don’t understand that for some people the Supra was like the Hemi ‘Cuda of their generation. If you grew up in the ’90s, I am sure that you had posters of the Toyota Supra, the Nissan Skyline, the Mazda RX-7, and other Japanese sports cars.
With that in mind, would you buy a Supra if you had $100,000 to spend on a car?
I sure will!
