1 OF 400: 1957 CADILLAC ELDORADO BROUGHAM SURVIVOR FOUND IN A BARN, STORED FOR 40 YEARS!

The 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham was called “a mirror of the actual future” back in the day. The Eldorado Brougham was the ultimate luxury and it offered everything that you need in a luxurious car back in the ’50s. The car’s MSRP was around $13,000 which equates to $125,000 in today’s money. This particular Eldorado was abandoned in a barn in Massachusetts for 40 years. It’s 1 of 400 made and it is a highly original survivor car.

The owner says that this car has one good thing and one bad thing. The good thing is that the car is complete and highly original. The bad thing is that the car’s nose is damaged. I certainly can see the damage but I don’t think that the nose is a big issue. Under the hood, this beauty has its original 368 dual quad V8 engine which made around 325 horsepower back in 1957. This car also had some futuristic options which were 4-speed automatic transmission, four-link rear suspension, self-leveling air ride, and more. The stainless steel roof is a very cool feature that this car had. The Eldorado Brougham also had controls in the glove department which were to lock, open, or close the trunk. The car’s interior proves that this car was in storage and not outside. The headliner and dashboard are in good condition and this car has a lot of cool options in the interior such as power memory seats, power vent windows, air conditioning, and an interlock that prevented the driver from selecting a gear if the rear doors were not power-latched round out some of the car’s many features.

This Caddy really is a very luxurious and special car. The owner says that it will need some rust repair and some work but the car is complete. With the correct amount of time and money this beauty will look just like it did back in 1957. However, some people choose to make this car a resto-mod.
So, would you restore this luxurious beauty or resto-mod it?
