The owner tells us that this sad Fox Body is a 1 of 362 made GT350 Anniversary Edition Mustang. It’s equipped with the same engine as the SVO but it has some little upgrades. This particular GT350 is crying for a complete restoration and the owner mentioned that it doesn’t even run.
The numbers that the owner mentioned aren’t exactly confirmed. I did some investigating and found that only 350 GT350s were made both convertible and hatchback models. Over 5,000 Anniversary cars were made but a little amount of that was with the Turbo engine. I noticed some TRX handling package, which is a four-link rear axle and coil springs along with unique shock absorbers. And this beast still has the original TRX tires. The owner also had some upgrades such as a Turbo gauge and good looking bucket seats. However, the interior that is in this car will need a complete restoration, and I hope the motor for the power windows still works because that would be a big problem.
The engine of this car looks very bad and worn out. Parts for a 2.3L Turbo engine aren’t hard to find so that isn’t a big problem. While this is not the most expensive Fox Body it still is a very rare car and I think it deserves a nice restoration.
If you owned this car, would you restore it or sell it?
