One of the best things that I experience when I write about cars is discovering a very rare muscle car. This 1971 ‘Cuda is certainly the rarest and the most expensive car I have ever featured. This 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda Convertible is a real Hemi car. This car is currently located in Indiana and it comes with an amazing story.
This ‘Cuda has a lot of things going for it, so we will start from the beginning. Mopar made only 12 Hemi ‘Cuda Convertibles in 1971. This is one of those 12. This car is also 1 of 5 built for the export market. Of those 12 only 3 had the A833 manual transmission, this car is also 1 of those 3. The icing on the cake is the color. This ‘Cuda is the only one made with this particular color combination. As I mentioned this car was built for the export market. The car was sold new in France. It stayed in France until 1993. When 1993 came, this car was imported in the USA and it was stored in a garage until now. The owner of the car said that the car hasn’t received any restoration work, which makes it a highly original survivor car. The car is perfect all the way. The engine is in perfect condition, the exterior is perfect, the interior is perfect, the top is perfect and the paint shines as it did back in 1971. The original Rallye wheels are still present and they don’t have any signs of damage. This car also has another special feature which makes it very rare. The 426 V8 engine is all original and numbers matching to the car. This engine is a monster that pumps out around 425 horsepower. This car had a 134mph top speed and it ran the 1/4 mile in 13,9 seconds.
I have seen a lot of rare cars here on Automobile Find. However, none of those matches this amazing Hemi ‘Cuda. I have featured the 1st Hemi ‘Cuda ever built, but that car didn’t have special features like this one. Cars like that don’t have a certain price. Mecum Auctions said that this car is worth from $5,750,000 up to $6,250,000. This makes the car’s average price around $6,000,000. I don’t know if someone will pay this kind of money for a car, but I do know that the car’s value will go up a lot in a couple of years.
So, do you agree that this amazing Hemi ‘Cuda is really worth $6,000,000?
