1 OF 1: 1969 CHEVROLET NOVA YENKO BARN FIND, STORED SINCE 1978!

Yenko is one of those words that most car people know. However, you probably didn’t know that Yenko ordered cars that weren’t converted into a Super Car. That is the story with this 1969 Nova Yenko which was found in Pennsylvania, after being stored there for 43 years.

Yenko Chevrolet is most known for making Super Cars out of the Chevelle and Camaro. Through the COPO program, dealers were able to order a car with an L72 427 engine under the hood. Sadly, the factory declined Yenko’s request to put 427 engines in the Novas. So, Yenko took it upon themselves to make a Super Car Nova. This particular Nova was one of the first conversions. However, the owner decided that he doesn’t want a conversion so this car was never converted. He drove the car for less than 10 years and then stored it until now. The car has only 75,000 miles and it is in good condition. In many cases, automatic transmission means less value. Well, that isn’t the case with this car. This car has an L78 396 engine under the hood which is hooked up to an automatic transmission. That makes this car the only L78 Nova with an automatic transmission built from Yenko. The car also has Rallye Green paint, which makes it 1 of only 3 Novas made with this color. This nova is also a one-owner example which makes it another 1 of 1.

The story, the history, the engine, and other things make this car a very rare and desirable car. It has a very interesting history. I am sure that the right man will see the potential and he will give this car a more interesting future.
